A “Hero's Journey in Parenting“ is an unexpected in parenting (a special need, a learning difference, a child who is on their own developmental timeline, or one who just marches to the beat of their own drum) that sends the parent into an unrecognizable reality when compared to what they know and see around them. This is the start of an adventure that while not chosen, has the potential to teach you a lot about yourself, what you are capable of, and help you to parent the child you didn't expect while you were expecting.

- Content and able to shift into a more positive perspective when they feel stuck and without hope.
